Sustainable Tourism: When visiting other countries (especially developing countries like Peru) it is virtually impossible for an outsider not to have some impact on the local people or community.  At Mother Earth Tours we actively practice sustainable tourism by giving a degree of income back to the native communities.  Our goal is to be culturally and ecologically responsible of nature and Peruvian heritage thereby lessening the negative impact that tourism can have on a community and the environment.
The way in which we work and interact with a community is of extreme importance to us.  We take special care that our porters and staff receive the best treatment.  It’s also important that you, as a visitor to a country, get to know the real people, places and traditions of the regions you are visiting, that you participate in these traditions, not just stand back and observe them.
